The Great American Cleanup, a project of Keep America Beautiful, is coordinated locally by Keep Palm Beach County Beautiful Inc. and the Solid Waste Authority.

From Boca Raton to Tequesta volunteers participated in the 2010 Great American Cleanup picking up thousands of pounds of trash and participating in beautification projects that included landscaping and painting.

In addition to a litter cleanup, volunteers plant silver buttonwood trees, shrubs and mulched at Juno Park in Juno Beach. A KPBCB GAC mini-grant supplied some of the funds for this project.	Students at Jupiter Farms Elementary scatter lady bugs in their Lady Bug Lane Reading Garden funded through a KPBCB grant. Students planted 144 annuals and butterfly plants.
Siemens employees clean up at the Jupiter Inlet	Volunteer boaters in Lake Clarke Shores pick up over 8,000 lbs of trash including 22 tires from in and around the lake.
Volunteers clean up along Watertower road and surrounding streets in Lake Park	Highland Elementary Community Spirit Club joins forces with employees of GAC sponsor, Skanska to clean Lake Worth Beach.
Youth volunteers from Lake Worth West community join their families in picking up over 300 lbs of litter.	Strangest find of the cleanup - plastic bugs and trees found at Munyon Island by volunteers based out of Lakeside Park in North Palm Beach.
Students from St. Mark's painted home as part of Rebuilding Together/GAC event. They also picked up litter.	Volunteers from Loxahatchee Groves including students from National Honor Society of Park Vista High clean Okeechobee Rd from 162 east to Folsom Road picking up 10 pickup truckloads of trash.
Volunteers clean up Monroe Heights in Riviera Beach. Cleanup was a showcase project funded by Waste Management with 500 lbs of litter recovered.	Volunteers from Northwood Hills in West Palm Beach pick up 300 lbs of trash and planted a kapok tree.
Students from the Morakami Park Elementary School Earth Club pick up litter.	Volunteers from the Old Trail neighborhood in West Palm Beach show off some of the 3 pick up trucks full of trash collected.
Habitat Restoration Project between Morakami Park Elementary and Lawton Childs Park. Approximately 780 native trees, shrubs, ground cover plants and flowers were planted in the wetland portion of the field with 80 volunteers participating.	Volunteer cleaning the beach at Phipps Ocean Park in Palm Beach find a chicken crate among the 46 lbs of litter collected.
KPBCB Elementary School Grant Program: Steve "Trash" performs for students at Pine Jog Elementary and....	Volunteers plant butterfly garden at Pine Jog Elementary funded by the KPBCB grant.
49 volunteers at Pine Gardens South in Jupiter picked up 112 lbs of trash	43 Children from the West Jupiter Community Center after school program plant watermelon at Riverbend Park Children's Garden funded by a KPBCB grant through Waste Management - a Waste Management Showcase Project!
Funded through a KPBCB/Waste Management Showcase grant, Riviera Beach Maritime Academy students construct and plant a garden on campus.	61 volunteers from South Bay pick up 1000 lbs of trash!
Trinity Luteran School students in Delray Beach put together and deliver recycling boxes to all classrooms and main office. They also do a litter cleanup on campus.	Volunteers from Wellington pick up litter from the Folkestone and Yarmouth neighborhoods and clean up graffiti at Azure Park.
